Cross-country Ski Clothing

Layering is the best way to adapt to changing weather and activity levels. Start with a moisture-wicking base layer to keep sweat off your skin. Ensure the base layer fits snugly against your body to maximize its sweat-wicking abilities without restricting movement. An insulating mid-layer is usually unnecessary when cross-country skiing since you warm up quickly, and cross-country skiing is all about the intensity. However, if you tend to get cold quickly or it’s particularly chilly outside, a thin mid-layer you can quickly put on or take off while on the track can be helpful.
