By following a few guidelines, you can keep your ski and snowboard clothing in top shape for years to come.  First of all, only wash your shell- and insulated clothes when you really need to. For shells, use a gentle wash cycle with a pH-neutral detergent and avoid fabric softeners, which can damage waterproofing, breathability and is also bad for the enviroment. To reactivate the DWR coating, use a low-heat dryer setting after washing. For insulated clothes, air-drying the clothes and shaking them gently should suffice.
