By following a few guidelines, you can keep your ski and snowboard clothing in top shape for years to come.  First of all, only wash your shell- and insulated clothes when you really need to. For shells, use a gentle wash cycle with a pH-neutral detergent and avoid fabric softeners, which can damage waterproofing, breathability and is also bad for the enviroment. To reactivate the DWR coating, use a low-heat dryer setting after washing. For insulated clothes, it should suffice to air-dry the garments and shake the garment gently. While it’s not recommended, you can tumble-dry them afterwards on low heat with tennis balls to help distribute the filling evenly.  Check our How to Wash Waterproof Clothing guide and our Clothing Care for more care tips.
